KEITH COWLEY | Shark Advocate & Educator - Living Sharks Museum

Keith Cowley is a science artist and educator, deeply passionate about shark history and their future. For over 20 years he has recovered, prepared and preserved prehistoric sharks for exhibitions and private collectors. He has tracked down historical artifacts from around the world that detail the story of the shark culminating in his development of America's first shark history museum, Living Sharks Museum. To gain firsthand perspective over the years, Keith has taken part in shark research and conservation initiatives to be able to educate the public from his own experiences. As a shark historian and museum curator he aims to change the negative narrative that leads to the plight of sharks and give a stage to those working to protect them.

past EXHIBITIOn:

WAYNE DAVIS | Spotter Pilot & Aerial Photographer - Ocean Aerials

Wayne Davis is a pilot and photographer who specializes in photographing the offshore waters of New England. A Rhode Island native, Wayne has been flying for over four decades. His single-engine 150-horsepower, tandem two-seat Citabria airplane with long range fuel tanks, allows him to remain aloft for over 12 hours in pursuit of white sharks, hammerheads, whale sharks, basking sharks, various whales, rays, tuna, billfish, and other giants of the deep.

Working together with boat captains, Davis is able to connect researchers with wildlife more efficiently. He has flown extensively for Massachusetts Department of Marine Fisheries and Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s shark expert Dr. Greg Skomal, aiding in tagging expeditions to track the movements of white sharks off Cape Cod and surrounding regions. He has appeared on Discovery Channel’s Shark Week and his aerial images can be found throughout New England.
